The launch of the Honor Magic 3 series is just around the corner, with the company announcing its latest flagship line on August 12, 2021. Now, a new report has revealed some details about the series’ high Pro variant.

While it is confirmed that the Magic 3 series of flagship phones arrive with dual-hole selfie cameras, several sources (via MyDrivers) recently revealed that the Magic 3 Pro will feature a hyperboloid screen with a more powerful sensor setup on the front. The Pro model could probably adopt a structured light-based solution for 3D face scanning. That is, the device will have a face recognition system through an additional sensor.

The report also added that this new system would allow it to offer an advanced facial recognition solution that maps users’ faces in real time and could be one of the best applications of this technology. Bear in mind that this is still an unconfirmed report, so take this report with a pinch of salt for the time being.

We currently know that the Magic 3 Pro will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC and may also include support for 100W wired fast charging along with 50W wireless high-speed charging and a zoom lens 100x similar to Magic 3 Pro +. So stay tuned for more updates on this flagship phone.
