Unlock Galaxy M51 Bootloader

You need to follow each step carefully, otherwise your device will be locked. Make sure you download the tools mentioned below:

  • Samsung USB Driver – Download
  • Magisk Manager – Download
  • Odin Flash Tool – Download
  • Back up all important data on your Android device
  • Download the Galaxy M51 firmware

Steps to Unlock Galaxy M51 Bootloader

  • Enable developer mode by tapping OneUI version 7 times after going to Settings> About phone.
  • Enable USB Debugging by going to Settings> Developer option and turning on USB Debugging.
  • Now start the download mode by pressing Volume Up + Volume Down and connecting your phone to PC.
  • Press the volume button up until the bootloader unlock menu appears.
  • Press the Volume Up button again to confirm the bootloader unlock process.
  • Device will reboot!

You have successfully unlocked the boot of the Galaxy M51. Now we can easily root the device.

Step 1: Create a patched chest image

  • Download the firmware file for your smartphone and extract it to a folder.
  • Download the Magisk Manager app on your smartphone
    Now connect your smartphone to the PC using the USB cable.
  • You need to transfer the boot.img file from the extracted folder to your phone.
  • Open the Magisk Manager program and select Install “Install> Patch from the image file.
  • Select the boot.img file you copied in the previous step.
    Magisk will begin to correct the image.
  • Now replace the boot.img file in the extracted folder with the “patched_boot.img” file you just created through the Magisk Manager app.

Step 2: Flash patch chest image

  • Download the 7zip software to archive the new patched_boot.img in .tar format. (Odin accepts the .tar format)
  • Download the latest Odin tool on your computer.
  • Download the ADB and Fastboot drivers to your computer and extract it to the folder.
  • Copy the .tar file or patch boot image to the extracted ADB and Fastboot directory.
  • Start in Download Mode: Turn off your phone and hold Volume Up + Volume Down buttons and connect to PC at the same time
  • Now open the Odin.exe file as a server.
  • A blue column will appear in the ID: COM field when you are connected.
  • Look for the boot.tar patch image in the AP section.
  • Now go to Options and select the Auto Reboot and F.Reset options. Uncheck all other options
  • Click the Start button to root the device.
  • When finished, the device will reboot.
  • That’s all!

You have successfully gained root access, now you can install any custom ROM, install MOD and extend the functionality of your device.
