Motorola Edge 20, Motorola Edge 20 Lite, and Motorola Edge 20 Pro are considered upcoming smartphone names from the Lenovo-owned brand. Previously, these phones were known by their Motorola Edge Berlin / Berlin NA, Motorola Edge Kyoto, and Motorola Edge PStar codenames, respectively. A previous leak suggests that Motorola’s three new smartphones will launch later this month and their specs have also surfaced online. The next smartphones in the Motorola Edge 20 series are expected to be the successors of the Edge, Motorola Edge and Motorola Edge + series, launched last year.

A tweet from whistleblower Evan Blass (@evleaks) claims that Motorola Edge Berlin and Edge Berlin NA will launch as Motorola Edge 20, while Motorola Edge Kyoto will be called Motorola Edge 20 Lite. Similarly, the Motorola Edge PStar should be called the Motorola Edge 20 Pro.

Blass had previously tweeted that the next Motorola Edge 20 series smartphones could be launched “in late July”.

Motorola Edge 20 Specifications (Expected)

Motorola Edge 20 is expected to be available in two different variants: a global version and a North American specific version. While the sports version is expected to sport a 6.67-inch (2,400×1,080 pixels) display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the North American version is expected to sport a 6.78-inch (2,460×1,080) pixels Full HD display) with a refresh rate of 120Hz.

Both smartphones are expected to feature a Snapdragon 778G SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. They could have a triple rear camera setup featuring a 108 megapixel primary sensor. They should also sport a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Both smartphones are expected to run Android 11. While the global version may include a 4,000mAh battery, the North American version may include a 5,000mAh battery.

Motorola Edge Kyoto, which should be called Motorola Edge 20 Lite, sports a 90Hz refresh rate display (2,400×1,080 pixels). It should be powered by a MediaTek Dimensionity 720 SoC that can be paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. It could include a triple rear camera setup with a 108 megapixel primary sensor. It should also include a 5,000mAh battery.

The Motorola Edge PStar, called the Motorola Edge 20 Pro, is expected to be offered in India, Asia, Australia, Europe and Latin America. It should also run Android 11 and could sport a 6.67-inch full-HD display (2,400×1,080 pixels) with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, there should be a Snapdragon 870 SoC that can be paired with up to 12GB of RAM. It can be supplied with 128GB or 256GB of internal memory. In terms of optics, it can sport a triple rear camera with a 108-megapixel main sensor and it can sport a 32-megapixel main camera. It can hold a 4,500mAh battery.
