According to Xiaomiui, Redmi, Xiaomi’s sub-brand will launch its second smartphone powered by MediaTek Dimensionity 1200 SoC in the near future. This phone could officially become the Redmi K40 Ultra. There are rumors to compete with the upcoming OnePlus Nord 2. According to the source, the phone may be agate / amber codenamed.

Previously, we reported on a Redmi phone with a 120Hz display, 64MP main camera, 5,000mAh battery, and 67W fast charging. This leak is from the Digital Chat Station. According to the advisor, the device will include a MediaTek MT689x chipset. For the uninitiated, MediaTek Dimensionity 1200 carries the model number MT6893.

So, we think both sources are talking about the same phone. But unfortunately, we do not have enough detail to prove our guess.

Anyway, like any other Xiaomi smartphone, we expect to know more about this device ahead of its official announcement through the company’s own MIUI code, certifications, leaks and even repeaters.
